Beyond The Bin: Rethinking Plastic Waste

About this event

Plastic is everywhere--literally.

In Indiana, micro- and nanoplastics pollute every waterway, contaminating wildlife, our water supply, our food chains, our surroundings, and our bodies. In fact, the proliferation of microplastics is quickly becoming a health crisis for Hoosiers and our environment, as these tiny particles of plastic pose risks many times their size.

If you've ever worried about the "problem of plastic" or wondered what you could do about it, register today for our upcoming free webinar: Beyond the Bin: Rethinking & Addressing Plastic Waste, on Tuesday, September 23 at 11am ET.

Presented by Hoosier Environmental Council, the Plastic Reduction Alliance of Northwest Indiana, and Save the Dunes, this webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of the critical aspects of microplastic pollution and what Hoosiers can do to address the challenge.

Join Maria Iturbide-Chang, PhD, HEC’s Water Policy Director, and other leading researchers and advocates in the region to learn how you can help put plastic waste in its place.
