About this event

Hear from Dr. Jesse Crosson, Associate Professor of Political Science at Purdue University and Co-Director of the Purdue Program on American Institutional Renewal.

Dr. Crosson studies how hyperpartisanship and unstable partisan majorities are transforming American political institutions. His work highlights the erosion of traditional depolarizing forces, the ways partisan structures shape policy development, and how legislative centralization has shifted resources away from expertise. He also examines reforms—from primary election changes to strengthening legislative capacity—aimed at addressing these challenges.
