League of Women Voters Muncie co-President Linda Hanson presented the League-sponsored Vivian Conley award to Dr. Courtney Jarrett this year for her Distinction in Civic Engagement and Inclusion. The event was hosted by the Coalition of Women's Organizations on August 25, 2022 in the Muncie City Hall Auditorium.

 
Dr. Courtney Jarrett is the Director of Disability Services at Ball StateUniversity, where she oversees the university's efforts to provide access and opportunity for over 1200 students with disabilities. She is involved with the National Student Affairs Association (NASPA), and she is president of the Indiana Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD) while also teaching several classes at BSU as Affiliate Faculty in Women's and Gender Studies. Dr. Jarrett is also a supporter of the YWCA of Central Indiana and the YMCA of Muncie and is a member of Women in Business Unlimited (WIBU). An ATHENA Young Professional Award winner, Dr. Jarrett gives presentations at national conferences and her work has been featured in several peer-reviewed journals. She is the author of Not Your Momma's Feminism: Introduction to Women's AND Gender Studies(Kendall Hunt Publishing; 1st edition, January 8, 2016).
